The Huyton Asphalt group of companies last weekend attended the River Festival at the Albert Dock and Pierhead. The River Festival is a yearly event where visitors flock to see various exhibitions and performances in Liverpool. It focuses on a free celebration of ships, music and art and is a family friendly weekend. The River Festival is curated by Liverpool City Council and funded by Arts Council England. Huyton Asphalt were the Mayoral Club Gala Tombola winners and a funding partner of the festival.

At the festival we had two spaces open to the public. Firstly our sandpit with mini diggers and sand buggy which were a hit with young children. We also had an excavator simulator which visualised working in a digger at a construction site. Plus we constructed a gazebo which housed information about the two companies (HA Civils and Huyton Asphalt) who we are and what services we offer.

We had plenty of giveaways and free treats such as kids hard hats, bubbles and toys, children particularly enjoyed playing in our sandpit at the waterfront. We had a great time and were sure children and families had a blast too, we hope to join again for the next River Festival in the future!
