Liverpool Councillor James Noakes visited our compound in Kensington to view the progress we’ve made on the A57 in conjunction with Better Roads.
James Noakes is a Cabinet Member for Streetscene, Transport & Highways and Air Quality. Better Roads is Liverpool City Council’s £500m highway investment programme and key works are currently being undertaken on the A57 by us, HA Civils.
James met with HA Civils Managing Director Tony Carney to discuss the planned highway works and what improvements have been made to the area. He was shown various phases of the scheme and observed the Civils team site workers in action using various construction equipment such as diggers and dumper trucks. He viewed our compound in Kensington and various footpath diversions we’ve put in place for pedestrians. He asked if residents were having any concerns and for general feedback. The project is running smoothly we are glad to report.
James was keen to hear about work we are doing in the local community in Kensington. We have participated in several events with St Cuthbert’s Primary School pupils regarding their new school build. We are planning to run competitions for both St Cuthbert’s and their sister school St Sebastian’s Catholic Primary.
We are excited to be involved in the Better Roads programme which has helped us deliver training and work placement opportunities locally in addition to employment opportunities.
