The winners of our art competition from St Cuthbert’s were Blake, Niamh and Michael (all aged 5) in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, their artwork has been enlarged and placed on our compound walls at Empress Road in Kensington. They excitedly cut the ribbons and we helped them remove the covering to show their artwork to the community.

We awarded the 1st place winner £25 book vouchers, with 2nd place and 3rd place each winning £15 and £10 book vouchers. The theme of the art contest was building their new school and roadworks. We are collaborating with St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School and Kier to construct a new school for the children. We like to keep them involved with the progress of the site works – they can view the work through our display windows on the construction site of their new school location. In addition to this we are building mini construction sites in their school grounds for pupils to play on and have fun with.

We had a lot of fantastic artwork submitted so it was a hard decision to choose a first, second and third place.
